1. What a partner link is

A partner link — also called an affiliate link — is an ordinary hyperlink that carries a code identifying the site that sent you. If a purchase follows within the network's attribution window, the vendor pays the referring publisher a share of the sale. It is the standard funding model for consumer-advice publishing, and it is legal throughout the EU provided the commercial nature of the link is disclosed clearly, before the reader engages with it — the requirement in the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (2005/29/EC) against concealing the commercial intent of a communication.

2. How we label them

Every commercial link on this site carries all of the following, on every page and in every position, including sidebars:

• A disclosure bar at the very top of the page, above the site name, before any content.
• A disclosure box immediately after the headline, before any promotional content appears.
• The word “Advertisement · partner link” on the block containing the button.
• A visible “Partner link” label rendered inside the button itself.
• A note directly beneath the button stating that we earn a commission and that it costs you nothing extra.
• The attribute rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" in the markup, so that search engines are told the link is commercial. You can confirm this by right-clicking a button and choosing “Inspect”.

If you find a commercial link anywhere on this site that is missing any of those, tell us at info@krasovin.online and we will fix it.

3. What we receive, and what we do not

We receive: a commission from the vendor when a referred reader subscribes, and aggregate reporting from the affiliate network showing how many referrals converted.

We do not receive: your name, your e-mail address, your payment details, your order contents or any other personal data about you. The affiliate network does not send us individual-level data, and we would not want it.

You pay: exactly what you would pay by going to the vendor directly. Affiliate commission comes out of the vendor's margin; it is not added to your bill. If you would rather not use our link, type the vendor's address into your browser instead — the article is the same either way, and it is free to read.

4. Current commercial relationships

At the effective date above, this site carries partner links to one vendor: TotalAV, reached through an affiliate network. Links pass through a redirect address on our own domain (/c/1/) so that the destination can be maintained in one place; that page sets no cookie and stores nothing.

5. What the commission does not buy

These are the same commitments made in the editorial policy, repeated here because this is the page a sceptical reader will check:

• No advertiser sees, edits or approves an article before publication.
• No payment is accepted in exchange for a rating, a ranking or a favourable sentence.
• We publish criticism of products we earn commission on. Our main article states plainly that the operating system you already own includes protection, that the clean-up tool is the least substantial part of the bundle, and that the renewal price is the most common complaint in the category.
• We publish no star ratings or invented scores, and no countdown timers or urgency devices.

6. Your privacy when you click

Clicking a partner link takes you to another company's website, governed by that company's privacy and cookie policies. On our side, nothing is set and nothing is stored, before or after the click. The privacy policy describes exactly what travels with you and the cookie policy explains how to verify that this site stores nothing at all.
